Come out to Busted Oak Cellars on Thursday Oct 29th from 6-8pm and play Mah Jongg. Make new friends and have lots of fun! We will also be inviting any poker players and dominoes.

The Josh Tiemann band is based out of La Grange. Josh is a career firefighter and full time family man. If you find yourself driving through La Grange on Hwy 77 near the Colorado River, roll down your windows and listen close. You might just hear a guitar chord and a line about cowboy living. Yes, that sound is coming from an old barn, the perfect place for a country jam session.

Jack T Carr with his tenor sax and digital rhythm section transforms a solo saxophone routine to the sound of a four piece jazz band. The pre-recorded rhythm section, composed mainly of piano, acoustic bass, and light drums, augment the smooth tone of the live tenor sax.

Michael Player is a Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer based in the North Houston area. He and his band have been steadily making waves in the Houston Country Music Scene for a few years and his momentum is increasing. Michael's sound is "Classic" Country but his voice has a uniqueness that most of his contemporaries lack. Michael began writing songs while attending Texas A&M and has been building a strong yet quietly publicized catalogue of original music. Normally a 5 piece band, Michael's band has the flexibility to go from "Silver Wings" to "You Shook Me All Night" by AC/DC in a wink of an eye. Michael has played some of the top venues in the area including Big Texas in Spring and Lonestar Saloon in Richmond. He has opened for legends like George Jones and Willie Nelson along with regional acts such as Josh Abbott, Scooter Brown Band, Bri Bagwell and Josh Ward. All in all, Michael is strong in his roots as a Country artist yet has a modern edge that sets him apart from the rest.

Long-time Houstonian and current Brenham resident Fred Lowery has been performing in and around Texas, both as a solo artist and in the band Kirby and the Kruisers. Fred loves to entertain his audiences by playing a broad range of pop, rock, and country tunes on guitar, ukulele, and harmonica.

It’s been a long musical ride for singer/songwriter/musician Darrel Appelt of Columbus, Texas. Over many years he has played at about every kind of Texas venue there is, and has fronted bands that opened shows for major artists such as Gene Watson, Eddy Raven, John Conlee, Ronnie Milsap, Restless Heart, Shenandoah, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager, Kyle Park, William Clark Green, and others!

Jay Sims is a singer, songwriter, and record producer living in The Texas Hill Country. In 2009, Jay was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year at The Texas Music Awards. His style grows from roots of the Texas Songwriter genre, and he wears his influences on his sleeve.

Mitch Marcoulier, has been involved in music for pretty much all of his life. He comes from a family of musicians, and has been playing with bands since he was in his teens. When he entered the working world he toured with some of the biggest artists in the world. After relocating to Texas a few years back, Mitch has come back to what he loves most, playing live music. Along with his own songs, Mitch has a songbook filled with easily 800 songs that will remind you of the times in your life where music meant everything. If you have a request, don't be afraid to ask.
