Growing up in a small town in Texas, Fallon Franklin held tight to her roots in folk music. Music was always around her. Her great grandfather, Major Franklin, was a world-class fiddle player and her grandfather, Royce Franklin, would take her to Texas swing festivals as a child. Fallon wrote her first song at the age of ten. When asked about being a self-taught guitarist, she laughs and states, “I needed something to accompany my songs and vocals, plus when I was in school, all the guys thought that it was cool to be a chick and play guitar.”

The Josh Tiemann band is based out of La Grange. Josh is a career firefighter and full time family man. If you find yourself driving through La Grange on Hwy 77 near the Colorado River, roll down your windows and listen close. You might just hear a guitar chord and a line about cowboy living. Yes, that sound is coming from an old barn, the perfect place for a country jam session.

It isn't hard to describe his guitar playing though--Intricate rhythms and searing leads--He manages, at a time when our senses are numb from so much exposure to different types of music, to carve out a piece of it with his own unique style...Give it a listen...
